The ITA-AITES will celebrate International Women’s Day with an online event on March 10.
Entitled “Leading from the front: women who contribute to the tunnelling world”, the session will highlight the careers, achievements and perspectives of women shaping the future of underground infrastructure and tunnelling worldwide.
ITA executive director Helen Roth and ITA past president and chief expert at China Railway Academy Group Jenny Yan Jinxiu will deliver the keynotes, sharing their professional journeys, insights and lessons learned from leadership roles across the global tunnelling sector.
The event will also include a roundtable discussion with panellists Rosa Diex, Mott MacDonald and Tunnels and Tunnelling International editorial advisory board member); Antonia Cornaro, Amberg Engineering; Daniel Garbutt, Nuclear Restoration Services and UK member nation representative to the ITA-AITES; Farah Dyan, Land Transport Authority of Singapore; Jack Lawrence, HNTB; and Aida Santos, Typsa.
