The contract awarded by the Road and Motorway Directorate includes the construction of 20km of new road, a 767m tunnel and 31 bridges (over a total length of 2.5km). Works are scheduled to start this month and be completed by the end of 2029.
The tunnel and 12km of noise barriers are designed to reduce noise pollution.
The D11 motorway is part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). Once completed, the motorway will extend 155km and connect Prague with the Polish border.
