Abstracts must be 200-350 words, written in English and submitted via the online portal[https://aimgroup.eventsair.com/PresentationPortal/Account/Login?ReturnUrl=%2FPresentationPortal%2Fwtc-2027%2Fwtc2027abstract].
Authors will be notified of acceptance by July 5. The full submission deadline for accepted papers is October 10.
Under the title “Underground creativity to meet societal needs”, WTC2027 will cover a broad range of topics shaping the future of tunnelling and underground space. The technical programme will be structured around 12 main topics, including:
- Advancements in design, engineering and construction technologies
- Sustainable and resilient underground construction
- Urban underground development and innovative uses of underground spaces
- Safety and risk mitigation
- Life cycle management: operation, inspection, monitoring and refurbishments
- Innovation in tunnelling: digital transformation and smart tunnelling solutions
- Economic viability: financing, cost optimisation, and long-term value
