Expressions of interest are requested from relevant parties by 6 October for the Belfast Sewers Project that includes approximately 9.5km of tunnelled sewers.
Client, the Water Service for Northern Ireland, has invited interested parties to submit a written expression of interest, whereupon a prospectus and prequalification questionnaire will be issued allowing applicants to demonstrate their capability.
Between three and five firms will be invited to tender and it is anticipated that tender documents will be sent out at the beginning of December. Managed under an EEC Target C contract with activity schedule, the scope consists of the design and construction of civil, mechanical and electrical instrumentation works including approximately 9.5km of tunnelled sewers ranging in size from 1.5m to 4m in diameter, 25 access shafts, a pump station shaft, a screening facility, an outfall with diffuser and a 6,000m3 capacity storm tank.
The contract is expected to run from the end of May 2005 to the end of March 2008.
