Tunnelling has been completed on a 411m long US$77m dedicated bus tunnel in Brisbane, Australia. The Mater Hill Tunnel is part of the South East Busway project that will help buses avoid congested city streets through a series of tunnels, underpasses and overpasses. Queensland’s transport and roads minister Steve Bredhauer said the Mater Hill link, which took eight months to build, was the longest of the south east tunnels.
