UPDATE revised 4 August, deadline extended!

Interested parties have until 17 August, eleven days longer than previously notified, to buy the prequalification documents for the 660 megawatt Porce III hydroelectric project in Colombia that includes over 16km of tunnels.

Porce III is being developed by Empresas Publicas de Medellin E.S.P. (EEPPM) in the region of Antioquia. It features a concrete face rockfill dam, intake structures, headrace tunnel and surge tanks, powerhouse, transformer cavern and tailrace tunnel. There are also three access adits varying from 465m to 649m long.

The prequalification documents are now due to be returned by 2 September, after which successful contractors will be invited to bid for the project. The documents and further information are available at www.eeppm.com/porce3/index.htm
