The Eteria Consortium, Ghella and CMB have been awarded the contract for the extension of Milan’s M1 metro line.

The Eteria Consortium comprises Vianini Lavori SpA, Itinera SpA, and I.CO.P SpA Società Benefit.

The 3.3km underground route will be excavated by TBM.

The extension will take the line from the current Bisceglie Station to Valsesia, Olmi, and Baggio. Three new stations will be built at Parri-Valsesia, Olmi and Baggio.

The contract is valued at approximately €360m. Work could begin as early as October and is expected to take around six years to complete.
