The contract has been awarded for the first stage of the VT12 Tampere tunnel project. During the current development phase, which will last around one year, an implementation plan and target costs and other goals will be drawn up for the project’s execution. The construction of the tunnel is scheduled to begin late next year and will be based on a separate contract.
The project is planned to ease congestion on the existing Rantaväylä road in Tampere.
