Due to spiralling costs, a freeze on financial aid for Boston’s Central Artery/Tunnel project is being considered by the US Dept. of Transportation (DOT). DOT wants to assess a new state financial plan before authorising advanced construction funding. Project officials announced that costs could climb from $10.8bn to $12.2bn.
