Tenders have been invited for construction of the 30.8km long Guangzhou Metro Line 3 between the airport and the east railway station which is due to get underway next year.
With ten stations and an average distance between stations of 3.1km, the line will feature tunnelled sections, viaducts and a section at ground level. The works are expected to be completed by 2009.
