The Indian government has given the green light for two hydroelectric plants worth jointly $430m. The $260m second stage Maneri Bhali project includes the construction of a 16km long water transfer tunnel.The second scheme, the $170m Larji hydro project, includes construction of a 4km long diversion tunnel and a 1km road tunnel.
