India’s Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation is still contemplating plans for a 635m long tunnel under the Malabar Hill as part of the 4.6km long Western Island Freeway connecting Bandra and Nariman point. The tunnel was the preferred option, but the corporation has since considered a bridge option costing $125M.
