Swiss based logistics specialist Marti Technics has won a contract to provide mucking equipment for the new Maurice Lemaire safety tunnel, in northeast France. Marti Technics will design, make, and install a 6,755m x 800mm wide conveyor with 500m belt reserve to work in conjunction with a 6m diameter Herrenknecht TBM as it bores through gneiss and granite. The JV of Bouygues/Eiffage will begin construction of the US$221M imminently.
