The Indian arm of Mott MacDonald, Dalal Mott MacDonald has been awarded the detailed design for Mandhi House station by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
The US$15.8M project for a single level underground station is part of Line 3 on the new metro. The station will be 27m wide at each end, blossoming to 57m wide in the middle of its 185m length. It will be built top-down with diaphragm wall panels. Dalal Mott MacDonald will carry out detailed design for all structural and architectural elements. The schedule is tight as construction of the station is already underway and it is expected to be completed by May 2006.
