Nordic contractor, NCC, has been awarded two phases of the Malmö City Tunnel for the Swedish Railway Administration.
The total value of the order is approximately US$217M. The Malmö Central Lower section features a ramp from a rail yard that becomes part of a tunnel section and also includes a station. The Hyllie – Vintries contract covers 4km of terracing and includes the construction of seven bridges, tunnels and a drainage system.
Both contracts are scheduled to commence in 2005.
