Allentown Equipment, US based manufacturer and distributor of dry and wet mix shotcrete systems has been sold by Master Builders to Cellular Concrete LLC. Cellular Concrete is an established supplier (of 58 years) of admixtures for concrete in the roofing, flooring, geotechnical and precast business sectors. It appears that Allentown Equipment will continue trading under the same name, but as a division of Cellular Concrete LLC. Jeffrey Pool, the newly appointed president said: “Allentown is in great shape and geared up to meet the new demand from its customers.”
Allentown Equipment can trace its heritage back directly to The Cement Gun Company, which commercialised the gunite process in the US in 1911. From 1 April, Cellular Concrete LLC took over all manufacturing and distribution of AllentownÕs range of dry and wet process equipment. Allentown Equipment stated in a release that they would continue to work with Master Builders in a strategic alliance to supply their customers with shotcrete equipment.
