Cross-Harbour (Holdings) has suffered an 80% drop in profits to HK$23.8M (US$3M) for the first half of this year. Turnover crashed to HK$151.2M as against HK$357.4M last year.
The company operates and maintains Hong Kong’s Cross Harbour Tunnel between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. The drops are reported to be largely due to greater competitiveness with operators of the two other road tunnels that link the two parts of Hong Kong.
