Singapore’s Land Transport Authority has invited bids by the end of June for the design and construction of 350m long Fort Canning road tunnel under Canning Rise between Stamford and Penang roads. Separate tenders have been called for mechanical and electrical systems, traffic and plant management, and communications systems. The successful firm is expected to take into account plans to extend the tunnel by a further 150m.
