Swedish acquire

Swedish manufacturer Atlas Copco has signed an agreement to acquire Austrian company, Ankertechnik GmbH, the rock reinforcement division of MAI International GmbH. Ankertechnik produces self drilling hollow core anchor systems used to stabilise rock in tunnelling. With annual sales of some US$6.9M, the acquisition is in line with Atlas Copco’s expansion into the rock reinforcement area.
