Ghella says the arrival of the Herrenknecht EPB TBM on July 28 marks 80% completion of excavation. The 6.6m diameter, 100m-long TBM is one of two building the twin tunnels.
The Pilot Light Metro Line 3isthe first underground metro line in Vietnam’s capital. It extends 12.5km, connecting Nhon, located in the Tay Tuu neighborhood of Nam Tu Liem district, in western Hanoi, to Hanoi Station.
The line consists of 8.5km of elevated tracks and 4km of underground tunnels and includes the construction of four underground stations: Kim Ma Station, Cat Linh Station, Van Mieu Station, and Hanoi Station.
