In a post with a video on X, TBC says its Zero-People-in-Tunnel (ZPIT) configuration means nobody but the videographer was on the machine.
The machine advanced and erected a ring weighing around 10.8 tonnes.
“In the same way that full and rapid reusability is the holy grail for rockets, ZPIT continuous mining is the holy grail for boring machines. This is the safest, fastest, and least expensive architecture to build tunnels,” the company says.
T&TI has contacted the Boring Company for more information.
