The deadline for registration for the 46th UK Conference on Human Response to Vibration was announced as 30 August 2011. The event is to be held at the Health & Safety Laboratory (HSL), Harpur Hill, Buxton on 20-22 September.
Presentation subjects include revision of HSE guidance on the control of occupational risks from vibration by Paul Brereton of the Health & Safety Executive plus others from a wide range of industries and non-industriual situations such as whole-body vibration, the influence of noise on vibration discomfort, study of vibration and comfort for an excavator, long-term driving and the interaction between hand grippers/contactors, vibration and blood flow in fingers.

The HSL is also celebrating the centenary of its establishment this year.
