Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) and MetroLink have commenced the recruitment of three key roles to lead and support the delivery of Dublin’s MetroLink programme.
The three positions are CEO designate (programme director); delivery and integration director; and engineering and sustainability director.
The two organisations say the appointments are a key investment and reflect a continued commitment to build and augment the leadership team with “the world-class expertise, vision and experience required to deliver a project of national significance”.
“These appointments also offer a rare opportunity to play a defining role in one of the most important infrastructure programmes in Ireland’s history,” they say.

In April, TII announced that programme director Dr Seán Sweeney was stepping down from the project. Sweeney, who was previously CEO of City Rail Link in Auckland, New Zealand, was appointed in 2024.
The 19km-long MetroLink will connect central Dublin and the city’s airport. It will include 16 new stations and most of the route will be underground.
