Agreement signed for Eglinton Crosstown West Extension stations, rail and systems

The 9.2-km extension includes seven new stations, four of which are underground.

Trillium Rail Partners, comprising Acciona (40%), Amico (30%) and Alberici (30%) will carry out the construction work and WSP will provide the design. Trillium Rail Partners will also integrate the railway’s operating and control systems, in addition to signalling, communications, and data networks.

The contract also includes works at the existing Mount Dennis Station to connect the ECWE with future Line 5 Eglinton LRT service.

The team has signed a Development and Master Construction Agreement with Metrolinx, marking the start of the development phase, part of a progressive design-build procurement model.
