Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) has issued contract notices for the M14 Utilities and Enabling Works Framework, which supports delivery of Dublin’s MetroLink.

The M14 Framework, established under the NEC4 Framework and suite of contracts, is designed to support the delivery of the M100 Advanced Works Programme and the wider MetroLink Programme.

The NEC4 Framework will initially run for four years, with options extending up to a maximum of 12 years.

CEO of TII, Lorcan O’Connor, said the Framework’s lengthy duration was a strategic planning move that would benefit long-term public transport planning.

“This supports continuity, innovation and value for money over the coming years, while enabling TII to leverage these arrangements for Luas network projects where appropriate,” he said.

MetroLink programme director Seán Sweeney said the scale and complexity of MetroLink required sustained collaboration with utility providers, local communities and industry partners.

“Through this framework, we will be able to engage experienced contractors to carry out essential works such as site clearance, demolition, and the diversion of utilities in a coordinated and timely manner. We are looking forward to building important relationships with these skilled SMES with mutual benefits,” he said.

The five lots include land access, demolition, site clearance, heritage work and archaeology, utilities diversion, landscaping and civils works.

Interested companies must register at the Metrolink e-Sourcing Portal https://metrolink.app.jaggaer.com/

MetroLink will be Ireland’s first fully automated, high-capacity metro system. Spanning approximately 19km – 11.7km underground – it will connect Swords to Charlemont via Dublin Airport and the city centre.
