Tunnels & Tunnelling International is pleased to announce it is a media partner for AFTES Congress 2026.
The French Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (AFTES) event, to be held in at the Grand Palais in Lille from October 12-14, will focus on the technical, environmental and innovation challenges shaping underground infrastructure today.
It will also highlight how underground infrastructure can provide solutions for many of the world’s current energy, waste, transport and sustainability issues.
AFTES Congress 2026 will attract major stakeholders from across the industry, including clients, engineering consultancies, contractors, industrial companies and specialist suppliers.
The programme will feature discussions on current and future challenges in underground construction, as well as case studies and innovations.
The event – AFTES’ 18th congress – also provides an invaluable networking opportunity for the global industry.
AFTES was formed in 1972 and represents France within the ITA-AITES. It has around 800 individual and corporate members and holds its international congress every three years.
