Early bird registration has opened for next year’s ITA World Tunnel Congress in Antwerp.

WTC2027 will be held in Antwerp from April 23-29 under the theme “Underground creativity to meet societal needs”. Early bird registration is available until January 15.

While delegates are starting to sign up for the event, the organising committee says exhibition space is selling quickly, with the last few places available.

Under the draft programme the ITA General Assembly will be held on Sunday, April 25 and the conference will commence on April 26 with the opening ceremony and the Muir Wood lecture delivered by Eivind Grøv.

The banquet dinner will be held on Wednesday, April 28, and the technical tours, which include the Oosterweel Connection’s immersed and cut-and-cover tunnels, the HADES Research Centre, and the Westerscheldetunnel – Europe’s longest bored road tunnel in soft soil – will take place on April 29.

The deadline for paper submissions has been extended to October 25 and successful applicants will be notified in December.
